#travelogue - Kerala Day 1
Allapuzha Railway Station, Kerala |
This was a much-needed trip. We visited many people in a
span of just few days. The trip lasted just for a week and our busy schedule
lasted from the moment we set foot in Kerala. On Monday evening, we left at 6pm
from the Madgaon rail station and were in Kerala the next day at 9:30am. After
we freshened ourselves and rented a car for us, we set out to meet Appachan who
lives in a small village less than 1kms away from Anchal, Kollam. Luckily, Google
maps knew all the places we had to visit and showed us the correct routes.
Appachan was very happy to see us. He was not at home when
we arrived at his place because he had been to the hospital for his monthly
check-up. He looked so cute to me with
no teeth at all. I asked him how he ate food and he replied with a smile that
he ate whatever he could. Appachan was actually swimming with the tide here. We
had some valuable time with my dearest granddad alive and then we left to
another location. I wish I could spend some more time with him. I’d clean the
place for him, cook for him, pray with him, help him in his shop, wash his
clothes for him, be there with him wherever he goes.
Prasad uncle and Molamma aunty was waiting for us that
evening. We freshened ourselves there and slept there. The first day was tiring
and the next day was waiting to tire us even more. Therefore we seized the
moment and lay dead for a few hours.
